Using God’s Gifts
So I hated life, because what is done under the sun was GRIEVOUS to me, for all is vanity and a striving after the wind. I hated all my toil in which I toil under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
Ecclesiastes 2:17-18
Without an eternal perspective of our life we won’t be able to understand God’s purpose in our work. If we work for the sake of working, to earn money to live on, it can be easy to get caught up in the daily cycle of it and begin to despise what we do.
Most likely, we started working using or doing something we were gifted with. To right our desires back to an eternal perspective, begin to think about your spiritual gifts and how you might be able to use them to touch the lives of those you work with. God always has a purpose for the gifts He’s given and how they can be used. Just ask Him for clarity in how you can use them for His glory!
