Psalm 119:1

God the Father’s will for us has always been to walk before Him and be blameless. Even back in Genesis 17:1 God told Abram to “Walk before Me and be blameless.”

Blessed are those whose way is blameless who walk in the way of the Lord.
Psalm 119:1

We know now because of the sin of Adam & Eve that we can never be blameless no matter how hard we try. There was only one man who walked this earth without sin and that was Jesus. I just need to be reminded over and over again of the benefits to my own life because He died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I am blameless in His sight AND He calls me blessed! The Greek word for Blessed means “Being in an enviable position for receiving God’s favor.” Look at some other descriptions for blessed :

  • Supreme blessedness or happiness, joy
  • Invoking God’s favor
  • Fully satisfied in God
  • Made holy; consecrated
  • Endowed with divine favor and protection
  • God shares His blessedness with us by making us blameless

Phil. 2:15 tells us, “That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation among whom you shine as lights in the world.”
