Savor God’s Word
It is good to savor and relish the divine things recorded in God’s Holy Word. We find many of them in the account of the Birth of Jesus in Luke 1-2.
How sweet are Your words to the taste of my mouth! Sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalm 119:103
- Angel to Zechariah “Your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son.”
- Angel to Mary “You have found favor with God and will conceive in your womb and bear a Son and shall call His name JESUS.”
- Elizabeth to Mary “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”
- Mary’s Song “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”
- Angel to the Shepherds – “I bring you good news of great joy, for unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
- Angels Praising God “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and good will toward men.”
- Simeon to God “My eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared in the sight of all people.”
