Our Eternal Authority

I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before Him.

Ecclesiastes 3:14

God himself is Eternal. He existed before all else and He will live on forever. His eternality makes him an authority. I find great comfort in knowing He is Sovereign over all.

I never understood some of the things I was taught growing up. Like I could choose God as my Savior, or not. I could lose my salvation. I truly longed to believe in a GOD who was the one and only authority over all. One who created all things for His purpose, including me. I have since come to believe in His Sovereignty over all of Creation and His Providence over all that happens from the beginning to the end of time. What happens when we have an absolute authority? We respect and obey them. This is the God I want to serve!
