Finding Satisfaction in the Lord’s Work

Also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil – this is God’s gift to man.

Ecclesiastes 3:13

The ability to work is truly a gift from God. A mind to know how to do our work, the ability to learn a skill and do the work, the employer who hires us, the desire to work and do a good job are all gifts from God. We could not do what He wants us to do without His power and ability within us.

I am thankful every day for the strength to work and do what He has given me to do. Thanksgiving brings contentment to do my work for as long as He has given me to do it. I can take pleasure in doing good work. God allows me to use my gifts and talents to do work that brings me joy and happiness, and glory to His name.
