Everything Is Beautiful

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Familiar strains of a popular 70’s song by Ray Stevens are going through my mind while I write. “Everything is beautiful in its own way. Like a starry summer night on a snow covered winter’s day. And everybody’s beautiful in their own way, under God’s heaven, the world’s gonna find the way.” Thankfully, we haven’t been left to find our own way in this world.

Verse 3:11 is my favorite verse in the book of Ecclesiastes. Why? Because God is Sovereign over His creation, Sovereign over my life, and He governs time. And because I trust Him 100% with my life, I know the outcome of my days on earth will be beautiful in His way and in His time.

Lastly, I am thankful for a limited capacity to know everything about God. I can get up every morning eager to spend time getting to know more about Him. I will never find out what He has done from beginning to end and it gives me great comfort to know He takes care of me each and every day.
