Ask God

So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me.

Ecclesiastes 2:9

Solomon, following after his own wisdom, accomplished incredible wealth and fame in his time. Ecclesiastes gives us a very up-close and personal look at Solomon’s life and how he went about proving a point. Even though he was blessed with great wisdom, his pride was getting in the way of an intimate relationship with God. There are no prayers recorded asking God for help as his father David often did.

No matter how God gifts his children, we still need HIM to guide and direct our lives. The gifts are blessings to be used for His glory.
