God Gives the Increase

I made myself gardens and parks, and planted in them all kinds of fruit trees. I have made myself pools from which to water the forest of growing trees.

Ecclesiastes 2:5-6

God has given every one of us gifts to use in service to Him. Sometimes we don’t know exactly what we are to do with them, but there is a beautiful lesson in looking at Solomon’s life. He uses them in his every day life as he sorts out this question of purpose in life. And in God’s providence, He takes what Solomon uses and blesses and gives him the increase for good. In my own life, I have learned to move forward with what I know and with the resources I have, then let God do with them as He desires. There is much joy and contentment in using our gifts rather than always asking what we should be doing.
