God’s Faithfulness Through the Generations

These words cause me to realize how fleeting life is, and that one day my generation will be gone and another in its place.

A generation goes, and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever.

Ecclesiastes 1:4

God created mankind and gave him length of life. Our lives are important to Him, especially the generations of people as they come and go. Did you realize there are several places in the Bible where the names are listed (i.e. Genesis, Matthew and Luke)in order to show the lineage of Jesus?

As we read the Old Testament, we learn of the faithfulness of God through all the generations. They were important to Him and He kept them going. Also interesting is the way certain numbers of generations happened between specific events in Biblical history.
