Full of Love

The earth, O Lord, is full of Your steadfast love; teach me Your statutes.

Psalm 119:64

Reading the Word of God opens our eyes to the mercy and lovingkindness of God to us. His mercies are new every morning – without end – they are specific to each one of us.

We see them in nature around us, the way the planets, sun, moon and stars continue their movement day in and day out. We don’t have to think about the air we breathe and water we drink. The sun rises and sets each and every day according to the Lord’s timetable. The miracle of a baby being born is astounding. The list can go on and on of ways God shows us His mercy by providing what we need to live.

This time of year especially, we are reminded of the beautiful gift of Jesus, who was given by God to His people, to save them from sin and give them the gift of eternal life. There is no greater LOVE than this!
