Loving God’s Word

Your Word is pure and true; therefore Your servant loves it.

Psalm 119:140

David says many times in Psalm 119 how much He loves the Word of God. Here he zeros in on its purity and truth. It bears the image of God’s holiness to which all creatures are beholden to give Him praise and honor. He alone knows no sin, yet He paid the penalty for our sin, and deserves our praise. He also represents truth. When we find that we can’t believe the lies in this world, we know for certain we can go to God’s Word to find truth.
